Mission
- To provide an interdisciplinary platform for students and faculty to engage in hands-on design, prototyping, and testing of advanced automotive systems including Electric Vehicles (EVs), Hydrogen-powered Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles, ATVs, Go-karts, and E-bikes.
- To foster innovation and entrepreneurship by nurturing creative thinking, problem-solving, and product development skills aligned with the evolving Industry 4.0 and Mobility 2.0 paradigms.
- To collaborate with industry, research organizations, and start-ups for joint projects, internships, and technology transfers that enhance employability and bridge the gap between academia and real-world automotive applications.
- To promote sustainable and eco-friendly mobility research through projects focusing on clean energy, lightweight materials, efficient powertrains, and smart transportation systems.
- To create a knowledge and skill ecosystem by conducting workshops, Hackthon, and competitions (like SAE BAJA, Go-Kart Design, Formula Student, and EV design challenges) that cultivate a culture of technical excellence and teamwork.

About Team SAMSKARA
About Us - Team Samskara Autonomous BAJA is a dynamic and passionate student motorsport and research team from CSMSS Chhatrapati Shahu College of Engineering , dedicated to exploring the frontiers of automotive design, sustainable mobility, and technological innovation. We proudly represent our institution in SAEINDIA BAJA events, including mBAJA, eBAJA, hBAJA, and Autonomous BAJA, while also expanding our expertise into Go-Kart Design and E-bike Motor & Battery Research.
Our mission is to design, build, and test advanced vehicles that demonstrate innovation, performance, and endurance - transforming classroom learning into real-world engineering excellence.
Our Areas of Focus
- mBAJA (Mechanical BAJA): Designing and fabricating rugged, high-performance petrol-powered ATVs capable of withstanding extreme terrains.
- eBAJA (Electric BAJA): Developing efficient, eco-friendly electric ATVs with optimized powertrains, regenerative braking, and lightweight chassis design.
- hBAJA (Hydrogen BAJA): Innovating in clean energy through hydrogen-powered vehicle research and implementation of zero-emission propulsion systems.
- AutoBAJA (Autonomous BAJA): Integrating Artificial Intelligence, sensors, and control systems for autonomous off-road navigation and smart vehicle control.
- Go-Kart Design: Engineering performance-oriented, safe, and efficient go-karts for intercollegiate competitions, focusing on aerodynamics, chassis dynamics, and ergonomics.
- E-Bike Motor and Battery Research: Conducting research on electric propulsion systems, battery management, and motor efficiency to advance lightweight personal mobility solutions.
Who We Are
Our multidisciplinary team brings together Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, and Mechatronics Engineering students who collaborate across domains such as vehicle dynamics, powertrain design, embedded systems, energy storage, and data analytics. Every prototype we build represents teamwork, technical excellence, and the spirit of innovation.
Through active participation in design, fabrication, and testing, students gain hands-on experience in CAD modeling, FEA analysis, battery optimization, motor control, and intelligent vehicle systems - preparing them for emerging careers in EV, autonomous, and sustainable mobility industries.
