Overview / Vision and Mission of the Center
The Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Electric Vehicle (EV) at CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering aims to promote advanced learning, innovation, and research in electric mobility. Our vision is to become a premier hub for EV education, skilling, and technology development. Our mission is to bridge academia and industry through practical training, collaborative projects, and capacity building.
Objectives and Major Focus Areas
- To enhance students’ technical competencies in electric vehicle technology.
- To establish strong industry-academia collaborations for research and innovation.
- To provide hands-on learning through simulation, assembly, and testing of EV systems.
- To promote sustainable mobility and green energy solutions.
- To conduct awareness programs and workshops on EV technology and policies.
Key Activities / Achievements
- Established under MoU with Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE), ASDC, and MG Motors
- Developed a state-of-the-art EV Lab with an investment of ₹18 Lakhs.
- Conducted Women Empowerment Training Program (February 2024) focusing on EV skill development
- Hosted visits by eminent personalities such as Hon. Dr. Bhagwat Karad (Minister of State for Finance) and Hon. Dr. K.V. Kale (Vice-Chancellor, DBATU).
- Students have successfully completed EV projects and gained hands-on training on Electric 3-Wheeler and Test Bench setups.
