The Department of Civil Engineering is established in the year 2014-15 with high quality technical manpower needed by industry, Research and Development and academic institutions which shall be instrumental for development of Nation. The Department offers B.E. in Civil Engineering with intake of 60 seats. The academic activities of the Department based on deep understanding of fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering, and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature. Civil Engineering is a broad field of engineering that deals with the planning, design, construction & maintenance of the physical & naturally built environment, including works like roads, airways, railways, harbors, bridge, canal, dams and building that makes the world a more comfortable place in which to live. The Profession encompasses many disciplines including Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics & Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Town Planning, Surveying, building Technology & Construction Management. Civil engineering has played a major role in increasing the health & quality of life in the past from ancient times.
